Job Description:

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing accurate, timely and high quality financial reporting for the Group, which includes the review of work performed by other team members as well as the preparation of financial information for decision-making purposes.

This newly created role has responsibility for the preparation, compilation or review work performed by other finance team members in relation to:
  • Monthly management information reporting for entities in the Group
  • Preparation of technical accounting and tax position papers, where required
  • Preparation of summary papers outlining key accounting and tax considerations
  • Taxation matters (e.g. income tax, GST, fringe benefits tax, trust taxation)
  • Cash flow forecasting and modelling
  • Co-ordination and primary review of  external tax advisor's draft submissions and returns to the ATO
  • Treasury activities, including day to day cash management and derivative management
  • Supporting the Financial Controller to redesign internal controls, procedures and processes, including the increased use of technology-based tools and systems to continue enhancing the integrity of the financial accounting system
  • Drive ad-hoc special projects involving finance
This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is keen to make their mark.  CA/CPA qualified, you will have demonstrated strong technical accounting and communication skills coupled with the ability to think and work as part of a small team. Previous experience in a Business Services / Tax capacity within a Big Four or mid-tier accounting firm or large corporate environment is of paramount importance to the success of this role.
