Job Description:

The primary purpose of the role is through financial modelling, insights and analysis provides decision support to Senior Executives through the following activities; operational process improvement, competitive market reviews and cost driver analytics for existing and potential commercial opportunities. 
The key responsibilities of the role are:
  • Develop commercial models and business cases for new business/bid opportunities, including scenario testing and modelling new, and existing, acquisition opportunities and analysis of deal structures and valuations
  • Proactively participate in the continuous improvement of business systems and processes within the Corporate Development and Finance teams
  • Prepare feasibility studies to determine acquisition options
  • Develop financial models to assess risk and capital investment options
  • Define, create and maintain management information that identify, track, monitor and report on opportunities and process improvements
  • Provide monitoring information, including benchmarking data, and respond to ad-hoc data queries and requests as required by senior management
Skills and experience required in this role include:
  • Experience within a Big4 type environment or in a similar role within management consulting, investment banking, equity research or accounting
  • Financial, business case and valuation modelling including high proficiency using Excel
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, drawing on skills and experience across various disciplines
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills with good judgement and supported by a bias for action and outcomes
  • High levels of influencing and communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, supported by excellent writing skills
  • Proven ability to work as a team player with a flexible, adaptable approach and the confidence to constructively challenge the status quo.
